Designed by
the Minneapolis architectural firm of Purcell and Elmslie, this represents
that firm's work in the area of small inexpensive residences. The parsonage
was erected in 1915 on lots donated by the widow of Peter Truax. An 1855
settler and lumberman, Truax had a farm west of Eau Claire. He and his
wife were supportive members of the Congregational Church.
